ADVERTISEMENT The Area's Top Political Talk Show! Volpe Report SUNDAY MORNINGS SOAMf FOX56 In a season-ending episode Sunday at 11:30 a.m on FOX56, The Volpe Report's featured guest is Pennsylvania State Senate Majority Leader Jake Corman, (R-34th), who catapulted to the national stage when he sued the NCAA over the sanctions and fines it placed on Penn State, arising out of the Jerry Sandusky sexual abuse scandal. Senator Corman's lawsuit was successful in getting the "heavy handed sanctions" wiped out and forcing the NCAA to use most of the levied fines for children's programs within the confines of the Commonwealth and not elsewhere as was the original plan. In addition to the fines and sanctions, Senator Corman and show host Chuck Volpe delve into the central issues of the nearly $33 billion proposed budget which, by state law, is due by July 1. Education spending, the proposed reduction in the corporate tax rate, the thorny issue of pensions and the growing economy are candidly discussed by Senator Corman, whose office has direct input on the proposed budget. The Volpe Report will be on hiatus for the summer but will return for an 11th season on September 22 on FOX56. Jake Corman ADVERTISEMENT The Area's Top Political Talk Show!
