ADVERTISEMENT The Area's Top Political Talk Show for the 10th Year Volpe Report SUNDAY MORNINGS 10:30 AM FOX 56 PA HOUSE VOTE COMES UP 'ROZZI' IN HARRISBURG TO START VOLPE REPORT'S 10TH YEAR In what could be the start of civility and unity in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, 16 Republicans crossed party lines on Tuesday to elect a dark horse Independent to lead the State House as its Speaker. Near the end of the first day of the new session, when it appeared there would be no vote on the Speakership, those 16 Republican crossover votes were enough to place the gavel in the hands of Berks County Representative Mark Rozzi, an Independent, formerly a Democrat, who said he will caucus with neither party to maintain his independence. The Volpe Report on Sunday at 10:30 a.m. on FOX56 presents special guest Pennsylvania Senator Greg Rothman (R-34), who recently leveled up from his Representative's seat to represent the 34th Senatorial District. Rothman's recent experience as a member of the Republican Leadership Caucus in the House makes him uniquely qualified to discuss what happened at the other end of the Capitol building. Senator Rothman and show host Chuck Volpe will analyze how Wednesday's events unfolded and what we can expect going forward after Speaker Rozzi bested last minute entry, Representative Carl Walker Metzger (R-Somerset) 115 to 85. There will be no Volpe's Views this week.
