Northeastern Eye Institute Salutes All Area Healthcare Workers, Including Our Own Doctors And Staff Throughout this COVID-19 period, while our other 14 locations have been closed, our Scranton office has remained open to care for emergency patients. With the help of a limited staff, our doctors have treated retinal and corneal issues, infections and ocular traumas. They have managed many prescription refills and, on a number of occasions, have performed sight-saving procedures. We have cared for patients from Lackawanna, Luzerne, Wayne, Susquehanna, Monroe, Pike and Wyoming Counties. This has all been done while taking every precaution to keep our patients, doctors and staff safe: / Doctor and staff temperatures are taken daily / Doctors and staff are equipped with personal protective equipment (PPE) / Temperatures are taken on all patients entering the facility / All surfaces and equipment are sanitized between patients / Doctors have embraced Telemedicine to limit patient exposure when possible As we look forward to resuming regular schedules, we assure you that these precautions will remain in effect. We are very proud of our doctors and staff, and we are proud to have been of service to this area during this very trying time.
