WORSHI TRINITY LUTHERAN CHURCH WIINSS LEARN SERVS We Have A Story To Tell It was a Christmas not unlike this one. A man was driving home from work struggling with the griet of losing his wife. She was so young and they had a smal chid to raise. His mind turned over and over but he just could not understand why this had happened The man amived at home to pick up his son. He hod an appointment to take him to the doctor for his annual vaccinations. When he informed the young boy where they were going. his son abrupty said "Why ore we going to the doctor?Im not sick 'I know said his fother. "You need these shots so you don't get sick' he repled. "Why do I need them if I feel fne?" said the boy as he began to cry. "I don't understand. The shots hurt me. Why woud you wont to hurt me when Im not sick?" The more the man tried to explain to the itte boy that the hurt and discomfort that he was about to experience was octuolly going to help him. his son just became more upset. The boy just wasn't able to comprehend the preventative measures that his dad was taking for him. That's when the father realized that just as his son could not fully understand what he was doing on his behaif, we cannot fully understand what our Father in Heaven does for us. Sometimes, even though we experience great pain and discomfort in our ives, God is shil there only wanting the best for us. He is there to core for us and watch over us as the man was doing for his own son. We cannot always comprehend in our human minds the turms that ife often seems to take, but we are encouroged to trust God and beleve in Him and know that He will love us. protect us. and guide us every day. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart: do not depend on your own understanding.
