My office primarily handles legal matters in the areas of elder law; estate and Medicaid planning; estate probate and administration; special needs trusts; and preparation of various documents such as wills, financial power of attorney, Healthcare power of attorney; living wills; and applications for medical assistance benefits. As a certified elder law attorney, I am often retained to provide advice and implement strategies to protect assets from being totally depleted on long term nursing home care. Although not generally known, assets can be protected even if one is already a patient in a nursing home.
