Each year the Hazleton UNICO Bell' Italia Festival continues to grow, including additional vendors and special events and this year is no exception. The Lagana Wealth Advisory Group of Janney Montgomery Scott has graciously once again agreed to sponsor the festival's 13th Annual SPAGHETTI - EATING CONTEST which will be held Sunday Sept. 18th at 12:00 PM. Registration for the event will be held throughout the day at the UNICO tent. Contestants will be split into various age groups, with the kids pasta eating contest beginning at 12:00 PM and adult pasta eating contest to follow at 12:30 on Sunday. Past contests at the festival proved to not only be fun to participate in, but was also fun to watch. Who needs a fork? No one at this spaghetti eating contest! Participants will have to immerse themselves (literally) in their dish of pasta, using only their mouths and work to be the first one to completely empty the plate. The expressions on their faces will be something to see, and Hazleton UNICO invites you to be there to see them.
