About

Dr. Alan frank has been practicing in the Eynon area for 30 years. He is well known for practicing in the Optometry department at Sugerman's Optical until the store closing in 1995. He then practice with Northeast Eye Institute for 10 years after which he opened up his private practice at its present location at Hillside plaza across from the old Sugerman's building. Dr. Frank also has a branch office in Kingston PA.
  
He is a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University and earned his doctorate at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia. He was chief of the Frankford Hospital contact lens clinic and owner of The Children's Eye Center in Wilkes Barre. He is presently on the board of directors for Volunteers in Medicine where he performs free eye exams for workers who can not afford health insurance.   In addition to family eye care, contact lenses and refractions, Dr. Frank has many areas of expertise. He is a leading expert in the fitting of bifocal soft contact lenses. He does pediatric and geriatric vision care especially treatment of vision related problems due to macular degeneration. Glaucoma and Dry Eye are also treated at his office.
